It was prom-night, and for once I was obsessing over hair, clothes and makeup. I had gone a little heavier on the makeup, and my hair was curled and pulled away form my face with a few bobby-pins. Born and raised in Michigan, Timothy didn’t grow up surrounded by the entertainment industry. However, he believes that his curiosity in acting started indirectly in elementary school, as he loved making people laugh. “I was kind of a goofball! I’ve always been enjoy that,” he amusingly recalls. Channeling all that energy into soccer all the way through college, Timothy didn’t approach acting before he graduated. “It nice of came around at the correct right time. It filled that void that I’d lost not playing soccer.” It was only two weeks after graduation when the actor packed his bags and moved to Los Angeles, with the verb of his sister — a makeup artist in the industry — ­­­who got him a job on a reality show. After modeling a minuscule bit and playing in some commercials, Timothy started taking acting classes and fell in treasure with it. “I remember doing my first monologue and feeling the thrill and high of performing and getting that reaction from an audience.”

13 Reasons Why season 3 revealed that Monty De La Cruz, played by Timothy Granaderos, is gay. Monty meets a guy named Winston and also has to face the consequences of assaulting Tyler in 13 Reasons Why season 2.

13 Reasons Whyfinally returned for season 3 on Netflix and there were plenty of gripping and dramatic moments to process. The mystery of who killed Bryce Walker was teased long before the 13 new episodes actually dropped, and the chaotic events of Homecoming loomed heavy over the season's early episodes. Though the whodunnit style mystery kept fans guessing, it was the revelation that Monty (played by Timothy Granaderos) is gay which proved to be one of the season's more shocking developments.

For the past three seasons, Timothy Granaderos brought Montgomery "Monty" de la Cruz to life in one of the darkest roles in the hit Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.
