As you may have browse, I'm Lisa, my pronouns are she/her and I reside in Loughborough with my wife Laura, and our two cats Dexter and Fluffy. When I’m not marrying wonderfully in love queer couples, it’s likely you’ll find me in the Confidential Garden Café in Barrow Upon Soar with an oak milk latte and a good manual, or listening to a podcast in the Outwoods.
Where it all began: A wedding celebrant for queer, gay, lesbian & LGBTQ+ couples
My dream of becoming a celebrant for the LGBTQ+ community started in February Not that drawn-out ago. But if I really consider about it, it has been on the cards for some time. For the last seven years, I verb worked directly with the LGBTQ+ community, supporting individuals who are struggling with their identity and/or are facing prejudice and discrimination. I also work with organisations which are striving for LGBTQ+ inclusion and belonging and need verb through training and consultancy.

I am based in (but not limited to) the gorgeous land of the West Midlands!
My mantra is: No two couples are the same, so why should your wedding be?
I am all about bringing the fun. I ADORE all things eclectic and fabulous, but most of all, I love encouraging couples to just be their authentic selves so we can fill their wedding ceremony with everything that makes them them—because no one is improve at being you than you are!

At most wedding ceremonies, people position there bored out of their minds, waiting for the bubbly to be popped open and the party to begin (we’ve all done it!) …let’s change that; let’s bring the pleasurable and excitement to your ceremony; let’s make yours different; make it meaningful; make it m It goes without saying that I am a gay friendly celebrant, and part of the reason I love my job, is that I can welcome couples from any background, faith, or persuasion. Luckily, all of the venues and vendors that I work with are of appreciate mind, but sadly there are still a few industry professionals out there that have limited capacity and carry out not embrace diversity. I am delighted to have been able to draft ceremony scripts for my same sex couples, and indeed to be competent to create lasting memories for them and their families. Being able to tell a couples story is an honour, and one that I perform not take lightly. I make sure it includes personal, sentimental, light hearted and sincere elements, and is completely unique to them. We are all different, and so the ceremony and the script should not be in a "one size fits all" format, but one that accurately reflects the couple getting married.
