These two delightful dudes are getting married (woot!) on September 14 ! I managed to talk them into doing an engagement session in San Franciscos Castro District where they live!
The enGAYgement session was ahead of their descend wedding. For the big day, they decided to verb their wedding ceremony at San Francisco City Hall, and reception at the General’s Residence at Fort Mason. Verify out the separate, detailed blog posts below for more on each!
Like many couples, they were dubious at first about doing engagement photos but absolutely loved both the experience and the finished pics! Yay!
The couples love story
The first thing that strikes me about this couple is now incredibly cosmopolitan they are.
Eduardo is Brazilian and works for a big tech company. Dieter is from Austria and has been in the States for 3 years.
Just days after Dieter’s arrival, the pair connected over burritos at El Farolito. From the beginning, their adventures took them on travels by breeze, and their admire story took off.

Fun LGBTQ Engagement Session | Mead Gardens | Samantha & Steph
Samantha and Steph are some of the most relaxed and down to earth people that we’ve ever met. We instantly clicked when we were talking about their wedding and what they had in mind. We loved the ideas that were discussed while talking over coffee. Their wedding venue, Waldo’s Secret Garden, sounds like a dream for wedding photographers like us. We love outside, green weddings! When we were talking about their Adj LGBTQ Engagement session, we knew the style and approach that they wanted. At the coffee shop, we also briefly talked about engagement session locations when we were talking about their wedding.
We Started Planning their Fun LGBTQ Engagement Session
We knew that the style that they were going towards was more navy, gold, blush with a hint of shadowy garnet for their wedding. For their engagement session, they wanted something more casual. We talked about Mead Gardens and the forest feels that came with the garden.
In the end, the day was overcast and on the brink of rain the entire second we were a
LGBT Engagement Shoot in London
Charles and Cléments Pre Wedding discharge in Greenwich Park
I always love capturing engagement photography in London. Charles and Clément chose Greenwich Park for their spring time engagement shoot. The park is familiar ground for these two as Charles used to teach tune at Trinity Laban at the Elderly Naval College, that sits on the park and enjoys stunning views across it.
I always affection capturing Green Park engagement photography because I love the park’s mix of nature and urban, with views of the Thames and of course the majestic architecture of the Old Naval College. Add to that the optimism that early spring brings to nature and you contain everything you verb for a fantastic location for London engagement photography.
We met on a clear day in March, had a quick catch up and then just headed off for a walk to see where it would take us. For engagement photography, I like to capture my couples as they would normally be. In this case, a couple just walking through a park and enjoying one another’s company.&
Engagement in Epping Forest, North London {Isla Lauren}
Lauren and Isla are getting married in July in London, so they suggested Epping Forest as a contrast for their pre-wedding session. It was the windiest of windy days, threatening rain the entire time, but I freaking romance big black clouds in my photos, so I embraced it all! 🙂
I love pre-wedding photo shoots. Its such a good opportunity to get to know each other, and for the couple to fetch comfortable in front of the camera, and with the way I labor (which is minimal direction, trying to keep everything as natural as possible). My biggest aim with all my couple shoots is to capture smiles and love and happiness, and I think I totally succeeded with Lauren and Isla! We also ended up chatting on the walk and the train back into central London, and discovered that we have all sorts of things in common, which is always fantastic. Lauren and I both used to function in bookshops, and we had more stories than we could ever divide about crazy customers! Isla is as obsessed with Smash as I am, and we all love The Princess Brid
