Southern New Mexico and the Borderlands are, by their very nature, extremely diverse when it comes to community and the people who create it. Embracing the LGBTQ community, and making it part of that diverse landscape, are a source of pride in Las Cruces, where Southern New Mexico Pride has been held every year since

Unlike most Pride celebrations, however, the focus is on connecting that community to the larger picture, by embracing non-profits and local resources, rather than corporate influences. Locate out what makes Southern New Mexico Pride such a welcome addition to our area, with a week-long celebration from Wednesday, September 27 – Sunday, October 8,

  • Pride Rainbow Drinks, Salud! De Mesilla, Avenida de Mesilla, Avenida de Mesilla, 6 p.m.

  • Drag Queen Alfresco Pride Kick-Off, Salud! De Mesilla. Ivonna Bump hosts the drag show. Seating begins at 6 p.m., the show starts at 7 p.m. $

  • Pride Family Picnic, Preciado Park on Gregg Street on the New Mexico State University campus, spon

    Owned and run Latina women&#x;a mother and her three daughters. Sol Y Luna Homegirls reflects the intersection of these women&#x;s cultures. Their merchandise draws inspiration from modern LGBTQ+, Chicana, feminist, and Latina culture. &#x;Homegirls with Mad Love&#x;, serves as their tagline, and articulates that these women proudly encourage adoration, diversity, and equality for all. In celebration of pride month, the girls have recently dropped their pride collection on their Etsy. You can often discover these ladies at the Farmers and Crafts Market here in Las Cruces.

     

    Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery

    Check out Drag Queen Downtown the second Saturday of every month! Ivonna Bump welcomes you to Ivonna Downtown at Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery, hosting the evening and introducing other performers. Doors open at 8 a.m. The reveal begins at 9 p.m. Cover is $10, cash only.

    Las Cruces Pride Parade

    FYI+ presents the Las Cruces Pride Parade on Saturday, October 5th beginning at 4 p.m. along Main Street Downtown Las Cruces. The Pride Parade will be a celebration of diversity and support of the LGBTQ+ community and allies. Join FYI+, Southern New Mexico Pride, PFLAG Las Cruces, and See Las Cruces who are collaborating to bring the second annual Las Cruces Pride Parade to the community which will feature floats, walking groups, vehicles, and more, all coming together to celebrate pride.
