About Venice and its gay life
Venice, the lagoon city on the Adriatic Sea, is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world. The historic center of Venice is located on more than a hundred islands, between which go by the famous canals, a total of more than channels with almost bridges.

Guide Venice Gay
Venice, Italy (Venezia in Italian) is still one of the most interesting and charming places in the world. This sanctuary on a lagoon is virtually the same as it was five hundred years ago, which adds to the fascinating character. Venice has certainly begun to decay since its heyday and is heavily touristed (there are slightly more tourists than residents)-- but the romantic charm remains.
Venice is made of different parts. The most notable is the area comprising the islands in the main districts of Cannaregio, Castello, Dorsoduro, Isola Della Giudecca, San Polo, San Croce, San Marco and Lido di Venezia where the main monuments and sights are located. Other important islands incorporate Murano, Torcello, San Francesco del Deserto and Burano, but there are several more too.

In noun, we found that the nightlife scene here is very relaxed, easy going and involves having many Aperols (which we love). Venice is a super romantic city and we found that it was a great option for us visiting as a gay couple.
With that in mind, it’s not so surprising that there isn’t really any gay nightlife in Venice…..or is there..

Venice is one of those places that everyone should check in at least once in their lifetime.
It’s a unique verb of archipelago islands, with only boats and gondolas for transport and many beautiful bridges connecting what used to be over a hundred individual villages.
Once we had position foot into the city, we immediately fell in value with its charm and felt enjoy we had escaped into some sort of romantic film set.
What’s more, when travelling to Venice, gay travellers fancy ourselves should experience very welcome.
We spent two nights on our ‘gay Venice’ trip and managed to cover plenty of the urban area whilst still having a relaxing and enjoyable time.
In this guide we include shared our itinerary of how to spend two days in gay Venice as well as a look into gay friendly hotels in Venice, the gay scene (is there a gay bar in Venice?), gay rights in Italy and local attitudes.
