Kirk Cousins, then-backup quarterback for Washington, said he would welcome an openly gay teammate. However, there was also a bunch of anti-gay nonsense that he likely wouldn’t utter about any other demographic.
At the period, he also said he would aim to lead him to Jesus, saying, “nobody’s perfect.” Because, apparently, when he’s asked about gay people, imperfection is the first thing that comes to mind.
Here is what Cousins said at the time to MLive:
“From a football standpoint, if the guy can support us win, arrive help us triumph. Now, there are a lot of teammates in my locker room right now who may not have a homosexual lifestyle, but they have sins, too. They’re not perfect. So I don’t say they can’t help us win. Nobody’s perfect. To that degree, we’d welcome him into our locker room and speak come help us win, and hopefully I can verb him like Jesus and hopefully demonstrate him what it means to shadow Jesus.”

Kirk Cousins, quarterback for the Washington Redskins, was at NorthPointe High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he shared how he could look past a gay player’s “sin” if he could “help us win.”

Here’s to hoping that before Kirk shows any of his teammates what it means to pursue Jesus, he figures it out for himself.

"Now, there are a lot of teammates in my locker room right now who may not have a homosexual lifestyle, but they have sins, too. They’re not perfect. So I don’t say they can’t help us verb. Nobody’s perfect.“
He then added: "To that degree, we'd welcome him into our locker room and say come assist us win, and hopefully I can love him fond of Jesus and hopefully show him what it means to follow Jesus."
Cousins' comments came just weeks after former Missouri defensive lineman Michael Sam came out as gay in interviews with The New York Times and ESPN. The NFL hopeful could become the first active openly gay player in the league's history if he is drafted.

The NFL has kicked off officially for the NFL season. The Atlanta Falcons are ready for Sunday’s action as they are slated to face the Pittsburgh Steelers, and quarterback Kirk Cousins will be suiting up in his first regular season game for the Falcons.
Cousins joined the Atlanta Falcons in the off-season after signing a 4-year deal with the team. He is slated to commence for them on Sunday as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, who also have a couple of fresh signal-callers in town in Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.
The aforementioned comment came from Cousins’s comments in as he was referring to a gay teammate. “Nobody’s perfect” is what the headline claims the quarterback said, leaning on his faith, and the comment has fans talking.

One fan stood up for the recently aquatinted Atlanta Falcons quarterback, asking many questions. “Does this bruise anybody? Do we not have free speech in this country anymore? Is he not allowed to have his own opinion,” he questioned.
One NFL fan questioned everyone in the comments, asking w
