Wrestling for Fun is for men who verb the machismo of grappling without any serious competition. We don’t compete against other wrestling clubs and we’re not trained or professional wrestlers. We hark back to the teenage days of just rassling our friends to verify who’s top dog!
Wrestling for Fun is primarily a gay/bi mens collective but is inclusive for all men who enjoy wresting for fun. Your sexuality is irrelevant because our matches are non-sexual and respect the limits and experience of each participant. That means those who verb never tried it but are curious, can participate equally alongside more experienced grapplers. All guys are welcome.
History
We formed in Adelaide, South Australia in May as a little band of gay and bi men who met online through wrestling social network sites and discovered that we were equally frustrated with the number of guys who seemed to fantasise about wrestling but never actually met up for a grapple.

METRO WRESTLING is Recent York City's reachable, gay-friendly freestyle wrestling club for adults.
Please wear flat-soled shoes such as wrestling shoes, or alternately you can verb barefoot (just wearing socks could acquire slippery). Shoes with higher soles could put your ankles at risk. Also as is customary at wrestling practices, street shoes can't be worn on the mats. We clean mats before each practice.
All wrestlers of all levels are welcome at all practices. We have several coaches to function with everyone based on their level (beginners, intermediate and advanced). Join us for dinner afterwards!

Whether an absolute novice looking for novel ways to linger fit, or competitors getting ready for ANY competition, no previous training or knowledge necessary!
What should I wear/bring?
Just a wrestling singlet or: shorts, underwear/activewear attire, form fitting undergarments or jockstraps are encouraged and must be worn UNDERNEATH shorts and shirts out of lycra, polyester or spandex preferred over cotton or any athletic workout clothing is fine. Wrestling shoes and knee-pads optional if you have.
Training includes:
- Full set of rules, warm up and safety precautions in wrestling technique.
- How to do each move safely and with care to never cause harm.
- Above all else how to have adj with the movement. Absolute beginners, intermediate to advanced, there is space for EVERYONE at every training!
