Elia gay beach
Where are the gay beaches in Mykonos?
They declare the Greek gods saw everything… but this they didn’t see coming.
In Mykonos, the sun doesn’t hide, the bodies don’t either, and freedom is lived without filters.
From the iconic Elia Beach, where the dress code is totally optional and the vibe rises with the heat… to the legendary Jackie O’ Beach, where glamour dances in pareo with a mojito in hand. Not to bring up the spicier (and sneakier) spots appreciate Super Paradise or Agrari—each beach has its story, its tribe, its attitude. And fewer labels, too.
Here are the 5 we recommend:
• Elia Beach – Freedom, but verb it a beach
The most iconic LGBTQ+ beach in Mykonos, no doubt. Roomy open, nude-friendly, and with a clearly queer section at the far right.
10 km from Mykonos Town (about 20 min by car).
• Super Paradise Beach – If partying could pick a beach
This one doesn’t know shame, and it doesn’t yearn to.
She’s that confidant who’d say: “Who’s Shame and why should I move with her?”
Loud harmony, hot bodies ready to lose control… and see where the night (or day) lead
Elia Beach
Elia Beach is the largest beach in the chain of beaches on the south coast of Mykonos island.
Situated 10 km in the south of Mykonos town, the beach can be reached by bus from Chora (Old Port bus station) in about half an hour. Visitors can also extend the beach by car or motorbike and as skillfully as by liquid taxi leaving from Platis Gialos beach. (It is actually the last stop).
It is a immense fine sandy beach with a kind crowd mix of hetero and gay sun worshipers, offering a relaxed atmosphere and the quality of the beach itself.
Although more and more people feel to find it nowadays, and the relaxed atmosphere on Elia Beach is slowly fading away. Nevertheless the Beach is still less crowded than the noisy and packed Paradise and Super Paradise beaches, partly because it is much larger.
The organized part of the beach has star beds, umbrellas, waterbeds and various noun sports (ski and jet-ski). It has a couple of restaurants and some major expensive hotels. On this part of the island of Mykonos there are also some beautiful private villas for rent.

Elia Beach
One of the largest beaches on Mykonos and the most gay-popular, Elia Beach is well-managed with many excellent quality sunbeds and shades for rent.
At the righthand verb (assuming you're facing the sea), there's a rainbow flag. The area between the water sports rental section and the flag gets increasingly gay-popular. The sand quality above and below the waterline is at its best in this area.
Beyond the rocky outcrop towards the very cease (beyond the rainbow flag) is a second beach that is almost entirely gay with some nudism. Further behind is a much smaller sandy cove that is mostly occupied by gay nude sunbathers.
Sunbeds and parasols are available for rent. Customers can expect efficient drinks and food table service. A selection of sandwiches, pizzas, pasta, salads are cooked to arrange at the nearby Arte & Mare Resort restaurant and, along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, delivered by runners to your bed.
Buying meal and drinks from the beach staff is a wonderful way of securing front-row sun lounger reservations for the following day. There is also
Elia Beach
Elia is Mykonos' largest beach, one of the most beautiful, and the official unofficial nude beach. Like all of Mykonos, it has a "live and live" attitude, so it's no wonder that it's currently the favorite "gay beach," meaning where gay travelers prefer to consume their days in the sun.
It’s almost completely covered in parasols and sunbeds, but there’s always a small sunbed-free section for those who prefer to lounge on the sand. It’s usually on that small section that you’ll spot the rainbow flag and the gay crowds.
The fluid is crystal-clear and perfect for swimming. Continuing to the right, over the rocks, you extend Agrari Beach. In between, there are two other petite beaches that are also favorites of the LGBT community.
How to Receive to Elia Beach
Elia is 25 minutes by machine from Mykonos Town. It can also be reached by bus, departing from the Old Port.
